This is the alpha version of the game where you'll find pieces of William's mind.
Please leave any feedback in comments and tell us if you would like to play the full version.

Memories of a Scattered Mind is a Psychological Horror Game that sets you into the shoes of William George Harrison, US Army Vet from the Vietnam War. Following a series of traumatic happenings in his life, along with a poorly treated case PTSD, William has been experiencing strange occurences around his own home.

Alone and confused, you find notes that William wrote to himself, a soldier's cautionary tale on losing oneself to his own demons and, piece by piece, restore a shattered mind, including the parts Will wouldn't like to remember.
Explore, read. Remember who you are.

Basic Keyboard and Mouse layout.

WASD to move, M1 to use an item,  Q and E to browse through your items.

The player will be able to understand most of them by reading and interpreting the letters, but by popular demand they will be explained here.

Memories: The main part of the game. They are both good, and bad, trauma and joy and are used to follow the game's narrative regarding William's life. They affect Will's Sanity.

Sanity: The "bar" on your screen is Will's Sanity. It recedes with certain occurences that are related to the lore itself, the main ones being: Staying in the dark without a flashlight, triggering traumatic events and bad memories and interacting with certain objects around the house.

However, Sanity can be restored by interacting with positive memories that bring hope and remind Will of a better, easier time in his life.

If your Sanity reaches zero, it's game over. Will succumbs to his own broken self and collapses on the floor. When you wake up again, you'll have lost all your itens and will have to find them again, they may not where you found them last time, so look around, and be careful.
